About The Poem
Glory to the King acknowledges and celebrates God for who He has revealed Himself to be. Believers are to worship God in truth and spirit (John 4:24). True worship involves our heart, mind, soul, and strength (Matthew 22:37). Jesus (the way, truth, and life) is the only one deserving and worthy of praise and devotion. Creation itself testifies to the glory and sovereignty of the King of kings (Psalm 19:1). Worship requires us to shift the focus from ourselves and onto Jesus: “You are the sovereign one; You are the one who remains steadfast.”
Glory to The King
Glory to the King who’s seated on the throne.
Glory to the Lord — the author of our hope.
Creation has declared your perfection.
The earth testifies of your provision.
Purpose is found in your name.
You make the sun come out from its hiding.
You ensure the grass of the field is clothed.
Not even sparrows fall without your loving hand.
They will teach us to trust in you.
May every heart sing with thanksgiving.
May every soul know you are God.
— All the glory belongs to you.
